Before joining a Knit Together OC gathering it would be helpful to have a basic grasp on essential knitting skills. In the videos below you will see demonstrations for casting on, the knit stitch, and the purl stitch. None of these skills are mandatory for joining us, but knowing atleast how to cast on would be helpful in getting you onto the exciting pattern you’ve chosen.
It’s also helpful to know there are many ways to cast on and knit. I use an alternative casting on method as well as a combined knitting method. Feel free to look around Youtube and find a style that works for you.
