Nesting has fully kicked in. I’m 27 weeks along today and the past couple of weeks have been spent cleaning and organizing, and doing lots of reading. I’ve finished two Bill Bryson books (The Body, Walk in the Woods), still working through the Brothers Karamazov and Lonesome Dove. Plus I very much enjoyed the cookbook and guide The First 40 Days. Daily baths and stretches have been keeping my low back and hip pain in check.
I’m feeling very hopeful about the change of the season and the continued positive news regarding Covid. Mostly just feeling so impatient for it to be over. I’ve recently felt lots of anger towards those who are holding tight to their risk-averse ways of thinking.
Although the weather was mild today, a hot cup of tea is helping me settle and find peace today amidst my scattered thoughts.
Today these prayers are on my heart.
Prayers of the People • Form VI
In peace, we pray to you, Lord God.
For all people in their daily life and work;
For our families, friends, and neighbors, and for those who
are alone.
For this community, the nation, and the world;
For all who work for justice, freedom, and peace.
For the just and proper use of your creation;
For the victims of hunger, fear, injustice, and oppression.
For all who are in danger, sorrow, or any kind of trouble;
For those who minister to the sick, the friendless, and the
needy.
For the peace and unity of the Church of God;
For all who proclaim the Gospel, and all who seek the Truth.
Amen
