Following the words “Lord in your Mercy”, please respond with “Hear our prayer.”
We’re all searching for something tonight, God. Looking over people’s heads and trying to climb to new heights to attain personal glory, attention, affirmation, and peace. We’re exhausted from the chase of happiness. Break into our lives and remind us that you’ve sought us out, you found us and tell us we’re enough, just as we are.
Lord, in your mercy, Hear our prayer
Father, we pray tonight for our community, the nation, and the world. Grant that the barriers which divide us may crumble, suspicions disappear, and hatreds cease. Then all may know your justice, freedom, and peace.
Lord, in your mercy, Hear our prayer
Almighty God, guide us in the just and proper use of your creation. Open our eyes to see the beauty around us. We ask that you would provide food to the hungry, safety to those living in fear, and justice for those experiencing injustice or oppression.
Lord, in your mercy, Hear our prayer
Lord God, we pray for all our friends, family, neighbors, and all poor and neglected persons whom it would be easy for us to forget: the homeless and the destitute, the old and the sick, and all who have none to care for them. Heal those who are anxious, lonely, hurting, or suffering in any way; may you turn their sorrow into joy.
Lord, in your mercy, Hear our prayer
Redeeming God, often we feel like lost sheep, seemingly alone and off-track, yet you return us back to your flock through your welcoming love for us. Comfort and heal all here who feel adrift in body, mind, or spirit; give us courage and hope in our troubles, and bring us the joy of your salvation.
Lord, in your mercy, Hear our prayer
