I adore making home-made granola. I think it’s always better than store bought, and it’s a great way to declutter your pantry!

Making a granola is one of my favorite magic tricks in the kitchen. You take a little of whatever you have in your pantry and with a little alchemy you have gold… golden brown delicious, granola, that it.
To make granola I usually take stock of my pantry; what opened bags of nuts, seeds, and dried fruits do I have laying about. From there I grab my largest bowl and get mixing.
Usually my recipe looks something like this:
- 2-3 cups of old fashioned oats
- equal parts oil (I like coconut oil) and honey
- whatever nuts I am using
- pinch of cinnamon and salt
I bake those at 300 for 20-30 minutes, then I mix in the dried fruit.

The results always seem so much greater than the sum of it’s parts! To me this tray of granola looks like gemstones and gold! A treasure to behold — especially in my new Made-in Baking Slab!
Let me know if you make granola soon!
Joyfully,
Jen
